O Meio do Mundo explora as tensões entre paisagem e memória, progresso e natureza, a partir do território de Tainhas, pequeno vilarejo localizado na região dos Campos de Cima da Serra (RS). A história da estrada que passava pelo povoado é o ponto de partida para a investigação deste lugar que se situa entre as promessas da Modernidade e a amnésia da História.

The Middle of the World explores the tensions between landscape and memory, progress and nature, having as subject the territory of Tainhas, a small village in the region of the Southern Plateau of Brazil. The history of the road that passed through the village is the starting point for the investigation of this place, which lies between the promises of Modernity and the amnesia of History.
